Creative Polymer Solutions Named an Emerging Leader in Manufacturing

This Birmingham-based manufacturer is growing rapidly. Creative Polymer Solutions manufactures spray foam insulation (SPF) and is one of only 14 SPF manufacturers in the country. It is also a formulator and manufacturer of polyurethane systems and coatings, consisting of two divisions called Accufoam, a spray for construction and retrofit, and Rugged Coatings, which supplies two different elastometric roof coatings.

So far, it has been able to capitalize on a growing industry. Creative Polymer Solutions was founded in 2015 and began operating in 2016. Today, it is a $95 million business. In 2023, the company reported $90.3 million in revenue and is projecting $129.4 million in 2024.

CPS views sustainable building as part of the driving force behind the growth of the polymer market in the U.S. That has translated into job creation and investments in its local operations. The company is investing $9 million in an expansion project, and plans to hire 20 employees this year, which will bring its headcount close to 70. It has grown to several locations in under 10 years.

In 2023, Creative Polymer Solutions moved forward with plans to use 80,750 square feet of bulk warehouse space at 3217 Messer Airport Highway, and the company is recruiting people to shape its future.
